First American Homebuyer's Protection has such limited coverage it is not worth the cost. At $36/month I feel my elderly mother signed up for it thinking it was a great deal. But, the problem is that you cannot call any repair service first. They send out a technician who will repair first. It 's their technician. She has had the policy for 6 years without making a claim. Further more, canceling the policy is not straightforward. This is not a friendly or helpful business. Beware.
