My guitar was sent to Gibson repair department to install a decal and re-lacquer the head stock. It came back defective. It was sent back and it returned in worse shape. I filed a complaint with the BBB and wrote a certified letter to the president,
Henry Juszkiewicz. The corporate office never contacted me and ignored the BBB investigation. The repair department agreed to take back the guitar a third time. Jason Davidson said that a evaluation would be made before any work was done.
I inquired about the evaluation but nobody told me what the evaluation was. They just went ahead and installed a wider nut (what the strings run over near the head stock) This alteration interferes with the truss rod cover, a screw hole now is too close to the nut preventing the installation of the cover.in addition, the touch-up stain they used does not match the original color. The gibson logo inlay has a crack that they didn't fix as well. At the time This was a new guitar that now has flaws caused by these bums. I think the money I invested ($665) for installing a 1 inch long decal is a ripoff.
The repair department manager is Todd Money The service department manger is Jason Davidson.
