I authorized a one-time use, but they turned it into a recurring monthly charge

I authorized a one-time use, but instantcheckmate took the liberty of turning it into a recurring monthly charge. Looks like from the complaints I've read that this is their m.O. (their usual way of doing business). It could have been worse—according to some of the complaints some people are charged almost $200.00 for a one year membership and when confronted Instantcheckmate only promised not to make the charge again after the membership runs out. Obviously not a reputable company. Beware—save yourself some time, frustration, and money—stay clear of this one!
