My husband ordered a ring for me a few days before Christmas. He told me about it later that same day. I realized he had ordered the wrong size, so the next morning, I called customer service to inquire about changing the size. The woman I spoke to said she would try, but that I probably wouldn't receive the ring in time for Christmas. I said that would be fine, it didn't matter that much and hung up.
I received my ring a couple of days later, on December 23rd. The quality was poor, and when I looked at the receipt, I realized that my credit card had been charged $25 more than the total my husband was given. Stauer had shipped it next day air, without authorization. The total shipping charges were $45 for a $99 ring. It shouldn't have cost more than $5, but their regular charge is $19.99 (ridiculous to bring with).
