The lease purchase program of Central Refregerated service is geared to inslave the driver who signs up for it.
You are responsible for everything you pay for all repairs and often twice, they dont provide an invoice or a appraisal in order for you to make the decision if you want to make the reapairs at a cheaper place.
They charge for the qualcomm which is an in truck satelite communication device, I was charged over 4,000.00 dlls. And at the end of my contract they purchased it back for 1,300.00 hundred when i should'nt have payed anything it should have been provided by them.
After slaving for them for 3 years, I was let go because I tampered with the speed of my truck even though the truck became mine after paying them 26,500.00 dollars for bying it out, after paying all that money they did'nt even provide me with decent tires.
They knew all the time that i was going over their policy speed limit and they did not mind it because I was getting the job done on time despite the reduced time limit provided but at the end of my contract they made it as an excuse because by paying cash for the balance of my truck thay could'nt black mail me they had nothing with which to have me commited.
The attrocities commited by this company is too numerous and it will take a long time to write in two words just to give you an idea when a company has a turnover of 350 driver each month, that should tell you the kind of people they are. The Department of transportation should investigate them and at the time should checl their accounting practices to see how much they ripped off their drivers, including myself.
This type of companies dont care because they have a bunch law firms that would make my life impossible if would decide to sue them and central is not the only one I am sure all major Trucking Companies are involoved in the same practice.
Its time for legislatures to act and put a stop to this slavery of truck drivers; yes I do blame the government because 1st. They dont put a stop to the abuses of large companies and 2nd. They make it very expensive for us to be independent drivers due to the very and exagerated fees to operate and the hundreds of permits and licenses and taxes you have to pay etc, etc. Etc.
