Be very aware of J.B. Hunt and their Lease Purchase Program! And their "So Called Maintenance Program". The contract states that they will work you enough to pay for your truck and they add a MSC Program that is anywhere from. 12 to. 14 cents per mile.
You will run an average of 1200 miles per week, just enough to pay for the truck they are trying to sell you. The maintenance program is worthless. After paying Hunt approx 200-300 dollars per week for their maintenance program, they will scrounge used parts and bald tires if you have a problem. I have seen many drivers that could not even make it off the Atlanta terminal due to problems with the trucks they bought from J.B. Hunt. The dispatchers make excuse after excuse about why there is no freight and make promises they never keep. This is the worst program I have ever seen. Company drivers complain that they do not get enough miles to eat! I know of one company driver that was fired due to telling this to a new employee. This is a very bad company to work for, but if you decide to enter into their lease purchase program after reading this and other complaints found on the net, don't say nobody tried to warn you. Do your research and make an informed decision. There is plenty of information on the net about this company and you will find it is not all that promising.
