This company is really bad. If you decide to stop working for them, they make sure any good company will never hire you. I lived near the carisle yard and after making $300 a week for the last three weeks I decided to quit. If you give this company a two week notice they will make sure you sit. I knew this so I just loaded my gear in my car and left. I did not have a co - driver and was not under a load. I turned the key into the garage and had them look over the truck for me. I took an advance out a couple of days before for $40. Even though I was getting paid in the next couple of days and they could just take it out of my pay, they put on my dac report I took a large advance and abandoned my truck. They can care less about their drivers. Driving a truck for one of these big companies is like modern day slavery. They keep pushing you to take per diem. They pay you less, but you make more. The reason why they want you on ot is because they only pay half as much in taxes for you. What they don't tell you is that when you file taxes you get all of the money back anyway. And they only put half as much into your social security. So if you get disabled or when you retired you are screwed. Work 80 hours a week for 30 years and you get nothing from social security. I think its $600 a month. If you don't do per diem you get $1800.
