August I was contacted by Debbe at 1st choice Facilities Services to repair a lock on Advance America Store 0814 in Loveland, Colorado. I did some research and found numerous complaints against them for lack of payment. Debbe contacted me again and I told her I was uncomfortable working for them because of that.
She blamed the complaints on contractors who did not follow their strict compliance guidelines and said I would definately be paid and they were desperate to get this facilities door fixed. I did the work, complied with all their requests (W-9, Insurance certificate, Subcontractors agreement, vehicle insurance, and finally a store stamped invoice with managers signature) sent them an invoice with all the required documents.
October I sent them an email and fax with a copy of invoice with 60 past due notice. They just don't respond. Phone messages, emails, and faxes go unanswered. I am now going to file a mechanics lien against the building owner.
