Ripoff Took my money and my PS2 Not replying to multiple emails

Sent my PS2 to www.vdo-specialties.com to be repaired on 1/14/04 via Fedex. 5 days later, the check I sent for 195.00 cleared. No problem. About 2 weeks later, I emailed Mr. Mike Walker concerning the status and he used the imfamous "Parts are hard to get this time of year due to Chinese New Year" it might "be awhile".

About a month after I sent my unit, I emailed again (never rude in any of my emails) and he replied "Please read the attached document to all customers regarding status".in short the letter (written with 7th grade grammar) stated that we all agreed to these policies and that these repairs take time. And if you keep emailing for status, it will be considered harassment and that he'll send the unit back not-fixed and still charge the fees.

Its now been over 3 months and now he won't even respond to any emails. He still has my unit and my money. His own policies state that if not fixed within 30days, the customer is eligible a refund minus bench fee (35.00) and shipping (20.00). My last email asked for 140.00 back and the unit. Still no reponse and as of today, his site is down.

Live and learn I guess. My next step is the BBB and my local DA to file a theft complaint with the Chippewa Falls DA office. Mike, I suggest you refund my money and send back my unit.
