Nov. 2010 I purchased a Total Home Plan, plus an A.C. Add on from Home Assure Protection Club. Aug. 2011 my AC condensor litterally blew up hence called the company with the phone # provided. They sent out a repairman who assessed the damage and attempted to call in his findings.
It took him 48min on hold and redialing when his hold was cut off to be told I was not covered!
I then called to dispute that and was told the one I needed to talk w / was unavailable.
Finally I reached a man named Franklin who said he would look into it and call me. Not hearing for several days I called back and reached a woman named Sabrina who had me fax all the info I had showing THEY wrote my AC WAS covered! I then called 9/6, and told Franklin was reviewing my claim and would call asap. Again called 9/14 and told by Sabrina who said the decision was to pay me $250. I said I refused to take that and wanted to file for an arbitration hearing which they said was the only way I could settle a dispute!
I have heard nothing since and am writing the CA Dept of Insurance claiming wrongfullu denied I am seeking legal advice also I had coverage with American Home Shield for several years and was very satisfied w / services received from them but was sadly misinformed by a friend that Home Assure was even a better company, so changed and really lived to regret it.!!
