DO NOT, under any circumstances, hire Brian Kuale of Colours Film or 5th Edition Art and Publishing to do videography/filming for you. My corporation was looking to hire a videographer to cover all of our company events, and we found Mr. Kuale on Craigslist. We agreed on a price (which he set), and set a delivery date for the footage and agreed that it would be delivered in high resolution on cd three days after filming was complete.
First of all, he was so late to the event that he missed the beginning, and he was also completely unkempt, and dressed like he had just rolled out of bed (jogging shorts and a ripped shirt). Second of all, he arrived completely unprepared and had no tripod, so was wobbling all over the place being a distraction and getting in the way of the speaker and audience. The real trouble, however, started when it was time to pay him.
He insisted on being paid upon completion of filming, but then did not deliver the footage for nearly two weeks after the agreed-upon date. Worse still, he only delivered PART of the footage, and in low-resolution, and refused to deliver the rest of the film (and anything in high-resolution) unless he was paid more than twice his fee. Needless to say, we ended our working relationship immediately, but never did get our hi-res footage, and still receive harassing phone calls and emails from him!!! Unbelievable!
