Is Knowingly Selling Fakes & Reproductions, Representing These Items As Authentic Misleading Bidders & Offer No Help!

Pioneer Auction Gallery in Portland, Oregon knowingly sell fake/reproduction items as authentic. I purchased several expensive items from their Labor Day sale and ever item turned out to be fakes or reproductions. I spent $1,700 on items that all turned out to be junk/fake. The items I received were worth a total of $20.

I called and emailed the company several times. The company never responded to any of my emails. When I called, I was told that me getting fake items is not their fault and that I should look more closely at photos before I bid. I explained to the very rude gentleman that unless you physically handle certain items you cannot tell they are fake. He then told me that is not their problem and that they offer NO REFUNDS and if you attempt a charge back they have in their terms and conditions that they will levy a fee of $1,000.00 against you and send you to a collection agency.

Consumers are protected under both state and federal laws and charging a consumer a fee for a charge back is not even legal. I have dealt with many honest auction houses, Pioneer Auction Gallery is not one of them, and have never seen a disclaimer like this auction house. If you need to add to your terms and conditions that you will charge an astronomical fee for a charge back that leads me to believe they have many people that try and return items due to them being fake.

The company will use words like "Rare" or "Hard To Find" when describing items. Most of the items are fakes and reproductions made to intentionally mislead the buyer/bidder when they view it in photos. They have very vague descriptions, which is done so they can tell the bidder that they never said it was real. Since when is a reproduction "rare" or "hard to find"??

In conclusion, I feel Pioneer Auction Gallery intentionally misled me, lied to me, and committed fraud. The knowingly sold me fake/reproduction items as authentic. When informed of this, they become rude and are not willing to help in any way. They just keep mentioning they offer no refunds, and if you do a charge back you will be sent to collections for a $1,000.00 fee that is in their terms and conditions. I have contacted the BBB and the Oregon Attorney Generals Office and they are looking into the matter.

If any fee is levied against me I will be suing this company. The other complaint against the company, before my complaint, is 100% accurate and correct. If the owner makes a rebuttal on this complaint it will be full of lies just like her last rebuttal against the first complaint. I am not a competitor or a local person trying to defame this auction company, I am just a consumer, a collector, that has been severely wronged by this company, have been ripped off and Pioneer Auction Gallery refuses to help me in any way.

I would not bid on any of their auctions and spread the word to your friends and family. This will save many people the headache and trouble that i am going through just so i can get my money back for a bunch of "made in china" reproductions that they sold to me as authentic!!! Bidder/buyer beware!!! You have been warned!!!
