I was a big fan and fellow watcher of Sphynxquecbec.com. I started watching his site 7.10 and worked also as a volunteer. I gave Robert over 200 hours of my time, answered over 150 emails and sold 2 other kittens for him in the US. I am not here to trash this breeder but to state the facts as to what happened to me.
Im not sure about his breed standards but I do know this man loves his cats and cares deeply about what happens to his kittens. I only know that he is a unethical business man. I have an amazing kitten that I love more than anything in this world. I watched her from the time she was born until I picked her up in Boston, the agreed pickup location. Five days prior to picking her up he sent me a cancellation email and said on his cat camera for everyone to see, that he sold her to someone else. I was crushed and hurt; said I would do anything and to please not do this. I
also had a 750.00 round trip ticket to Boston that was non-refundable. Only after many phone calls and letters from his fans and my friends did he agree to sell her to me. I had to agree to his terms: 1. Pay $500.00 more than the agreed price and 2. No health warranty/guarantee. I originally was to get a 5 year guarantee against HCM because he doesnt test his queens and sires for this and I was concerned.
Many of you may ask why I didnt walked away. Had I not watched her on a live camera for 3
months and fallen in love with her, I would have. Had I known then what I knew now, I would
have. I was emotionally invested and also had a non-refundable airplane ticket. I considered legal action and also spoke with an attorney. This all would have taken time because he is not in the United States and I would have lost my kitten to someone else. I wasnt willing to take that risk.
If anyone here has doubts about the facts of this case, I would be happy to share the emails from Robert. I have all of his correspondence emails saved, as well as, the documents I had to sign in Boston.
Again, I want to state that I have an amazing kitten that I love more than anything in this world! I
wish Robert the best and hope this never happens to anybody else.
