These guys came in for a 4 hrs job as per the contract signed, and it was a 4hrs job with 4 movers. However the movers were stoned, they started removing anything that had screws in the furniture in order to charge more time on the clock.
They would disapear for a while and when I go to the window to see where they are, i see them smoking outside and in the truck. On lunch time they took off for 1hr and a half and came back more stoned. And then the furniture started going apart even worst.
When I initially spoke to the representative if the company his name is LUC CHATELOIS, I told him that I need 3 guys and they should be able to finish the job by 2:00PM if they start at 8:00 AM the latest. He sent me then an email to tell me ", to make sure that everything is done by 2:00 pm, I would send you a four men crew. The rate by the hour is more but at the end the number of hours will be reduced. Should the move go faster than expected, the final charges will be adjusted
based on the actual time plus the drivelling time from and to my warehouse"
So I accepted and this was the biggest mistake I ever done. They arrived at 9:15AM stoned, and they finished past 4:00PM with damages on many of the furniture in addition they lost screws and pieces of the furniture.
When I called and sent him an email to complain and for him to adjust the costs according to the contract he replied by "I will be looking into this and will get back to you with
answers. Regards, Luc Chatelois"
And that was it. He does not return my calls or any emails that I send. Now I just called the credit card company to contest the charges, as he needs to stick with the contract that he signed with us.
Never do any business with MELDRUM THE MOVER and especially if you have the biggest thief and lying salesman LUC CHATELOIS. It is clear theft and misrepresentation how this guy does business.
