I purchased a custom made medallion and necklace from ideclare on June 24. They required payment in advance. I was told I would receive the jewelry in three weeks. After three weeks had come and gone, I called them to find out the status of my order. Their business number is an answering machine. Over the next several weeks, I left numerous voice messages and sent numerous emails asking about when I could expect delivery. I got no response whatsoever. Finally, I made a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General who then contacted this company. The next day, I got a call from the owner, Annette Allen who lied to me and claimed that they had been trying to contact me for weeks but that I had not responded. Then she told me that they could not send me the necklace I had ordered. I asked for a refund but she refused. I then asked her to send me a photo of the custom medallion so that I could confirm that it had been prepared to my specifications. She refused, stating that "[I] would just tell her that it wasn't the medallion I ordered." She also refused to give me her direct telephone number so that I could contact her again, if needed. I purchased this medallion as a special custom made keepsake to honor the memory of a close family member who passed away from cancer. It was to be a very special and cherished memento. Not only did this company rip me off and treat me poorly, but it blighted what should have been a very special keepsake to honor the memory of someone who was very special to me. I hope that no other consumer does business with this company. People order special medallions for special reasons and I sincerely hope that by reading this, no one else will get ripped off by these people like I have. They are completely disreputable and dishonest.
