Today I called Pizza Hut and asked if they had a special for one pizza. They said that it was the full house with one topping for $9.99. I ordered the special and was told it would 20 minutes until I should pick it up.
I drove to Pizza Hut with my brother, gave them my name, and they grabbed the pizza. The man rang it up and said it was $10.49 (with tax). I placed them money on the counter.
He then asked for the coupon. I told him that I was not informed that I needed a coupon. So, he re rang up the order and said it would be $15.49. I told him that the person who took my order did not say anything about a coupon for the special.
He said that she had put down that I had a coupon, which I never said I did. So, I asked to speak with the manager and he said that he was the manager. Since he gave me such a hard time I aksed if there was someone else I could talk to and he said no.
I asked if I could speak with the person who took my order and he said I could not and that he was the only one I could talk to. When I told him again that no one said anything about a coupon he still said too bad. I asked for the customer service number and he refused to give it to me.
I told him that he could not treat me this way just because I was a kid (I am 17 years old) And he then told me to get out in a harsh tone.
I went home, found the customer service number and called. They said they would file the complaint but that it was a privately owned franchise so there was not much they could do about it.
I called my father and told him the story over the phone. He then called pizza hut and asked for their special... He was given the same information. So, he asked to speak with the same manager that spoke with me.
My father told the manager that he asked what the special was and that they never said anything about a coupon when he called either. The manager told my father that I saked for the pizza to be hand tossed which is way he charged me $15.49. Is it just me or are these to different stories from the same manager!
My told then told him again that he told me it was because I didn't have a coupon and he just said if I wanted to order to pizza again for $9.99 then I could.
