I applied online for a secret shopper position. I received information a week later and a check for 1300.00. I called the number given to me and talked to Charles Horton. We talked about what the company does and what he expects. He asked me a few questions about why i chose their company and if i had a few hours a day to work. I did so he directed me to cash the check. After doing so, i was to call him back to get my days assignments. And each day i would receive 200.00 if i completed as required. The first assignment was to wire money at Western Union, 910.00 to Kelly Davis in Canada, and give him full details of the customer service. I then needed to go to a Sears and purchase anything off of the floor but i needed a clerk to assist me and see how they handle a difficult situation. So i did and called him once i was done. He said i was to keep 200.00 as my pay and he had sent me my employee packet that i would receive in a few days.
The following week my bank could not collect the 1300.00 funds from the check i cashed and they pulled the money from my account. I called Charles and he apologized and said i would get my money and someone from accounting would call me. A full day later and no funds, no call and no follow up from Charles. He told me today to be patient. But i am not getting anywhere. I am now late on my house payment because the bank pulled that from my account. The check came from Franklin Federal and Savings Bank. I am filing a police report tonight as well.
