My husband and I rented a house through Cricket Realty, mid August. We signed the contract and moved in Sept. 1, with the required security and pet deposit paid.
We did several things around the house for improvement and maintenance (had to have a plumber come out to fix a constantly leaking commode), with the approval of the realestate agent Virginia A. "Cricket" Schoeff. We were to have been repaid by her company in a check, as oppossed to deducting the amount from the monthly rent payment. We have never been repaid.
The owner of the house felt he was being "ripped off" by this company as he was having charges being deducted from the payments sent him by the agent (but we never saw any of this money paid back to us.) He decided to take the house back over, rather than continue to have the realty company collect the rent, and doing nothing for maintenance of the house.
We have requested on numerous occassions to have the security and pet deposit refunded to us, or sent directly to the owner of the house. This specific agent has refused to refund our money, nor has she sent it on to the owner, and now she will not return our phone calls.
