I finally gave in on a hot July day of 2003 to an out-of-state (he called himself) underprivledge student trying to earn points to win a trip. My husband ordered a magazine.
In Oct I called AC to let them know I was moving. They could not even find my receipt number, they had no file on my name, address, or subscription. I faxed the info like requested. They returned my call a few days later and asked me if I was sure my check had cleared. I verified that it had.
To this day (March 2) I have faxed them the same information they keep asking for a total of 6 times. I had called at least 20 times. Sometimes the line is busy for hours and the manager is NEVER in. When I called in January they told me that they had moved to Maryland and that is probably why they couldn't find my last fax. Their new Maryland Number is 410-901-9208 & fax 410-901-9109. Though they still answer the PA number.
DO NOT EVER BUY A MAGAZINE FROM THEM. You will never see the magazine or get your money back. It scares to think they could try to use my bank account number in the future if they pull a scam like this.
