I ordered a whirlpool dehumidifier pump (WPL 8212501) and received it June 25th, I installed the pump and witnessed it pump once - seemed ok. Checked on it a few hours later and found water all over my basement. The pump was running - but not removing water. I checked the hose for kinks, etc... No issues there. So, in short, the pump is no good. I contacted appliancezone.com to inform them that the pump they sent was no good.
They responded by asking for a Model and Serial#, I informed them that the pump only had a model and Eng # on it. They responded with wanting the model and serial # of the dehumidifier that I was using it with. I explained it was irrelevant since the pump is self contained and made to work with multiple items - they will go no further to help me. So I put in a claim with PayPal. Hope it works out for me. Wish I saw these reports prior to my purchase.
