I paid $40 to do what could have been free!

I needed a Social Security card replacement quickly and this site said "Social Security card instantly!".
I know, I should have been suspicious, but...

I filled everything out, paid my $38 fee, and was sent a Social Security Card application where the first line says "filing for a ss card is free!!!" Granted, it was already filled out w/the info I had earlier supplied — about 4 lines asking things like - address, birthdate, etc.

And I had to look up my local SS office and go there!

It's a scam.
