I had a business account with Mountain Mist for a couple years. I paid ahead on my bill regularly, as the monthly charges were about $10 -$15.in December we closed the business. The driver noticed the business was closed, but did not try the door or knock. Mountain Mist called to inquire and said they would send a driver to pick up the bottles and scheduled a date. Great service - right? We dumped 3/4 of a bottle to have it ready for the driver.
The driver never showed.in the process of closing the business, the bottles got packed and moved. I got a deliquent notice from Mountain Mist and called to see where or how to return the bottles, as the deposit for them was the only charges on the account. I was promised a call back. Guess what, no call. I received a Final Demand Letter from RBC, Mountain Mist's parent company. As phone calls were not returned, I emailed the address given. No response.
Then I get notice from Evergreen Collections in Redmond, WA that the account had been turned over to them. Mountain Mist had also added a $50 charge for account transfer to the balance of $36.27. When calling Mountain Mist to discuss, they were RUDE and unprofessional and said I could only talk to Evergreen. They have a great scam. Leave you with their bottles, don't let you return them. Add $50 to the bill and then turn it over to collections. All of this on an account that was paid ahead!
