Ripoff. Terrible customer service, fradulent and deceptive billing

On 1/9/04 my father whom is 72 years went into verizon and bought 5 phones and picked the shareplan 5500 minutes family plan. Gave them a cashiers check for 904.00 that day for the phones and then was sent 5 different billing statements with 3 of them with a balance of 47.00 due and 2 for 299.00 each.

We called billing and they have the very worst unqualified stupid people in management i have never seen a business that big that is so unorganized unprofessional. After several hours of arguing with them they finally admitted that the account was put into subaccounts instead of compined shareplan and accidently billed twice and that the account would be credited the next week billing calls us and says we owe 1000.00 dollars and a balance of 640.00 past due.

This company is not only ridiculous but rude i tried to explain to the guy from billing the story and he hangs up on me... The next day all our phones are disconnected. The rep that sold my father the phones tells us he apologizes that it was their mistake and everthing is taken care of... Needles to say I had put out thousands of dollars on a marketing campaign with the new phonenumber and verizon's f#%$ up cost me about 15,000 plus 4,000 for the campaign, i wouldn't be so upset at them for the disconnection of my phone if it was our screw up but it was theirs and it seems as though we have no rights anymore against companies like these we camplain to the bbb, etc and they just keep letting these rip-off companies rip people off because this world is all about money.

Well I wiil tell you something if my father has a heart attack over fighting with those piece of shit employees who should be working at jack-n-the box i will bring them down... One more thing now i know why people go postal... We get absolutely no help from the people in charge of prosecuting, helping consumers like my father. WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO...
