$1054.76 mistake because of inadequate employees

We have been having problems since September regarding our telephone billing with MCI Worldcom. We e-mailed MCI about adding the international calling plan to our service. I spoke to Nigel at the Sonya Center on September 19. Nigel added the international calling plan because someone previously had failed to do so. He re-rated the bill and submitted paperwork to have the $1054.76 credited for calls placed to China and Singapore on our account.

Month after month, we called to see what the holdup with issuing credit was. Finally, we switched to SBC until this issue is resolved. I spoke with an MCI representative today. She said that the credit was not issued because we had called Canada months before the international calling plan was added. I do not see the relevance. The bill for the calls to Canada was paid in full. We did not know that the calls to Canada were international because there was no country code to dial, but it was paid.

Please explain why Canadian calls have any bearing on the rejecting of the addition of the international calling plan. We agreed to pay the $4.00 per month charge for the Neighborhood Worldwide, which we had paid since adding the international calling plan, yet we were not given international calling rates. This has gone on too long.
