As a former employee of this company, I can tell you that this company is the worst to work for, but even more horrible to deal with when you are a customer. I went to pick up pictures from the WALMART PORTRAIT STUDIO. They were of my cousin Kaylee who is one year old.
The manager of the studio, Jeanne Schuhman, had told the employee, Doreen Chiofee, not to allow me into the studio despite the fact that I was NOT FIRED from this company, I HAD QUIT! In fact, I had quit because of the way they treat their employees and the filth that fills the three studio's. Doreen Chiofee, began to scream and rant upon seeing me, saying that she could not accept money from me, and could not give me the pictures...
Then she ran out into the lobby screaming for security. All this while I was standing stock still, receipt in hand trying to figure out what was going on... Wal-mart managers came, and it was determined that PCA NATIONAL LLC, aka the Wal-mart portrait studio, had discriminated against me. Wal-Mart paid 20 dollars toward the pictures that I was picking up! Let me tell you, they lure you into the studio promising a 4.88 package-then they insist on taking 6 MORE pictures.
The FIRST ONE you like, is your "adverstised special" and you have NO CHOICE to change that unless the photographer likes you and breaks the 'rules' and switches the special. The ADVERTISED SPECIAL is not supposed to have props in them only the advertised background. So the first picture the photographer takes is okay, but the next 6 are stunning. So now, you look at the pictures and the one you don't like all that much, is the 'advertised special' and you get a ton of that picture. The other photographs are EXPENSIVE! And they try to get you to buy the gorgeous ones at 20 dollars a sheet (it costs 25 cents for them to print an 8 x 10!)
There are packages, but if you don't buy, this becomes HORRIBLE HEAVY SALES PRESSURE SALES! Then what no one knows except those who 'catch" Jeanne Schuhman at it, is that she brings DOGS INTO THE STUDIO at night and takes pictures of them! So dirty dogs are sitting on the floors, rugs, and grabbing the toys YOUR CHILD may accidently pick up! And to make matters worse, the employees are so badly treated, that they NEVER take home the mats your children SIT ON to be washed. And other children pee, vomit, all kinds of bodily fluids on those rugs! And the photographer just plops the child or tiny infant on these disgusting rugs to take your childs pictures on the dirtiest, most disgusting rugs and blankets that you can simply not imagine what has been on these rugs! Dogs! This is the worst bio-hazard that I have ever seen in my life. The rug in the Islandia Wal-Mart hadn't been washed in over one entire year! It was supposed to be white, but it was caked gray ick! Do NOT RISK disease by going to the Wal-Mart Photo studio!
