I owe $1700 to discontinue service

I was a slow pay, they were a fast disconnect. They will not resume my service even though i offered a direct debit. So they are having a collector call offer to settle for $900 so they dont "ruin my business credit" mind you this is ALL for cancellation of services, I paid the previous bill in full, 5 months later they want additional $900. The salesman was dishonest, the contract complicated and sent to me late and yet i offered them $500 just to get rid of them nope they want $900.. What else can I say that others havent already? They are dishonest & shady
