I have been receiving phone calls from the United States Census Bureau of up to three times day for the past several weeks. They are calling at multiple times, day and night including Sunday.
The first time they called, they left a message for me to return their call. Within an hour, they were calling me again. They called me 5 times that day before I picked up the phone and asked that I be removed from their list and to not call me again. I then received a letter a few days later in the mail saying that the Census Bureau has been trying to reach me and it was important for me to call them. I went through the entire Census process with over the phone monthly interviews. When I received my final call, I was assured that my obligation to the Census Bureau was over.
They are have crossed the line into harassment. If the calls do not stop immediately, I will be escalating this to an official harassment charge.
