Conseco Work Site Solutions Manager of the State discriminates against women and lies at time of recruitment

I was heavily recruited for a sales position with PMA over a year ago. After one trip out in the field I was so disgusted with the lack of professional behavior in the management that I quit. The head of the state, Mr. Jimmy Tomko called me and refused to file my termination paperwork. He kept me on the phone for over an hour and refused to accept my termination. So, I agreed to give it another shot and traveled all the way to Washington DC... Paying additional license fees, gas, and was required to cover my own hotel expenses.

When I got there I shared a room with another female agent working for the company who supported my perspective that this company was a rip off and not at all legitimate.in any case I tried to make the best of it again with my direct supervisor and it was not at all how it turned out.

After two more days in the field and writing over 11,000.00 in business with the company I was treated with complete disrespect and degradation by my direct supervisor Mr. Matt Loccisano. After I arrived back at the hotel I called Mr. Tomko and Chris Shropshire (Matt's supervisors) and requested a meeting with them so that I could request a transfer under a different manager. Mr. Tomko was immediately on the defense and would not even listen to my concerns over Mr. Loccisano's behavior. Nor would he agree to help me resolve the HR issue that I clearly had.

When I requested to be transferred to another manager, Mr. Tomko refused and told me that I either worked with Matt or I would just have to quit.

In considering ALL of the unprofessional behaviors that took place, I decided to quit but first had a very specific conversation with Mr. Tomko and Mr. Shropshire specifically relating to what negative financial ramifications there would be if I left. Jimmy Tomko informed me there would be none. However, for the past six months I have received illegal collection threats by supposed lawyers trying to collect over $1,400 dollars in cancelled accounts. These "accounts" I did not even have the opportunity to preserve and no one will even tell me who they are so I in fact, have no real proof that they even exist. I have requested the specific information relating to this "debt" they are trying to collect from me and the information has been refused to me.

I would like to file a joint lawsuit against the company. I found out that Mr. Tomko had transferred male agents that requested it and worked with them and their needs, but not my own. I am a woman, so most likely he just wanted to get rid of me because I was making a complaint about one of his "prime male" agents. At the time I was there, only men were in management positions and positions of authority.

Additionally, I contacted the Agent Relations department and all they wanted to do was get me on a recording. The head of that department Susan Fry and their "debt collections" department have all been informed as to my experience along with their Training manager (Kevin) and no one will even call me back.

In addition to the complete and utter lack of professional behavior in the management team I was also misinformed as to how exactly everything worked at the time of recruitment. I was told my pay would be different then what it actually was. I was NOT informed I would have to pay for things like "free umbrellas" to be handed out when taking a client application. Also, I was promised a management position once their new life department was established.

All of this was false. Do not go to work for this company! If you want to join with me in a group lawsuit against this company please let me know. I refuse to pay pma a dime and they are reporting false collections to my credit at this time and i am getting harassed by collections companies. Additionally, this negative reporting impacts my ability to get appointed with new companies because pma is reporting it as bad debt in specific relation to credit.

Trust me do not work for them... Do not even give it a shot! They are ripping off agents, discriminate based on sex and will harass you and threaten you until you cough up money for materials you were never even informed you would have to purchase and clients that you can not even confirm really cancelled their policies!
