Stealing My Money!

It all starts so easy. My daughter needed a prom dress, so we ordered a dress on-line from House of Brides on January 13.

Even though the prom was not until May we asked for a late February delivery date in case delivery would be delayed or alterations would be needed. A few weeks later, "Karen" from HOB e-mailed and wrote the dress could not be delivered by February. Far enough. We wrote back that we could push the delivery date out to early April, it might be close to prom, but my daughter really wanted the dress.

March 7."Karen" wrote that the dress could not be delivered by May, is there something else my daughter would like. Agian, fair enough. We wrote back to cancel the order and issue me a $352 refund on my credit card that I paid with.

April 20 and I have still not recieved my $352 credit. I have written multiple times. What I get in return is an e-mail from HOB saying "sorry, we will resubmit your information to our accounting department". First the e-mails were from "Karen, then just "House of Brides", and the latest is from "Sarah". I have asked for a phone number, but they won't supply one.

I suspect, after reading other stories about House of Brides, that I will never see my money again.

Do not order from this place.
