Starving Students ripped us off. What should have taken no more than 5 hours, was drawn out to 11 hours. When asked if we wanted shrink wrap, we said "no". It was a $30.00 charge. But they shrink wrapped anyway, like doing us a favor, because it took time. We moved out of a 2 bedroom home with no garage, but some boxes in a shed. We moved 1/3 of a mile down the street & did not need shrink wrap. Our fuel cost was $85.00. To go 1/3 mile? Are you kidding me? Also, the consumer pays workers comp, which is a percentage of your moving cost! The company does not pay it, WE do. So it cost us $1065 to move from a 2 bedroom 1 story house, 1/3 of a mile. That's twice as much as I expected after talking to Charles in LA corporate office. Had I known the truth, I never would have hired them. After immediately complaining, I was lead to believe that I would be compensated. But that is a stall tactic to appease you. They never got back to me in their specified time, and they don't return my calls. DO NOT USE THEM or you'll be sorry. I wish I had known ahead of time!
