Our monthly long distance phone bill was around the $40.00 mark for months, then this last month 10/15 it went up to $80.00 and the reason I was given through MCI was that the FCC raised the rates. This is disheartening because there was no notice given just showed up on the bill. I asked who can I call to change this and was told there was no one to call, that is a FCC choice. I have changed my calling plan to exclude this rate but not soon enough I still have to pay the $80.00 and that is going to be hard, if they had just sent a notice that it was going to be raised, I could have screened my calls closer.
