Walmart After-Thanksgiving, Pre-Holiday Sale Rip-off Scam!

I caught WalMart in a huge scam and management lied about it. I am checking out the stories at various store in Arizona and am a bit perplexed as to what the real story is.in particular, I am curious if deception is calculated to be a useful tool to hide a potential bait & switch. This is mounting evidence that this might be the case. Why else would management lie about whether or not a sale came in or not?

I went to the Show Low, Arizona, WalMart on Friday for the 6:00 am sale for the Special Buy on Teon 30-pack CD-R for $10. They didn't have any and I went to get a rain check. I was told that they were not giving out rain checks for the Friday morning sale. I pointed out that it was not for the 5 hour sale, but was in the big flyer for the week. Then I was told that since it was a Special Buy they didn't give out rain checks. I requested to speak to the Manager on duty.

I explained the situation to her and she called the Electronics Manager. The Manager on duty (MOD) asked her about the sale item and was told that it had come in but was sold out. (This would have absolved them of responsibility, but I had already interviewed an employee who has gone on record that they did not come in.) I told them that I know for a fact that they never came in and could prove it.

The MOD and the Electronics Manager huddled and then said that it may not have come in, but that the order would not ever come in, then asked what proof I had that it had not come in. I refused to tell them that I had an insider. They also would not substitute CD-RW for the sale price. I was careful to document the names of all involved in the deception.

I am sure that I am not the only one who did not get what they come to the store for at 5:00 A.M. I was handed a flyer depicting where all the sale items were. If they were going to be completely forthcoming, they should have also included which items had not come in, precluding my wait in the freezing morning rain for an hour.

WalMart owes their customers an apology and me for my time and inconvenience, not to mention the CD-RW they could have sold me.
