5 middle aged women stayed in downtown Providence hotel on 1/22. Requested taxi to Twin River for concert, and was told by hotel it should be about $20 fare. The female driver, turned off radio to dispatcher, used cell phone, and drove in circles until our fare was $48. We returned in a different taxi company, and our total fair was $16. CORPORATE TAXI driver really took us for a ride. Multiple messages and phone calls by us, and at least 2 different managers at the hotel have gone un-returned. Not only that, but the driver also carried on about having a gun under the seat and a knife on her as well. Maybe we should press criminal chargers, since we can not even get a response to our complaint?
