Kohl's truly doesn't care about their employees, at least not at the store in which I work. As mentioned by others, credits are all they care about whether you're at POS, working the floor or at Customer Service. Yes, you are judged on credits, emails and the customer service you give. We practically give our merchandise away. If a person says they have a 30% scratch off but left it at home... No problem, we give it to them. If they see a spot heartly seen by the naked eye... No problem we give them an extra 10% off that item. If they are inconvenienced by something in the store... No problem we'll give them an extra 15% off coupon to use at a later date. We are training our customers to be liars, rude, belligerent and unaccountable.
I will not even give my opinion of the 01 at the store in which I work.
Advancement? Be serious... If you're not liked by management regardless if you have a good work ethic... Forget it. Anyone working as POS, working the floor, lead of a department or a 27 is living below the poverty level. I agree with others, they don't pay enough, they don't give you enough hours and they continue to hire new people. On a scale of 1-10, how far to the left can I go?
I would like to also mention I have never called off work, never been late for work and continually come in when others are scheduled to work just to get additional hours.
