I somehow and embarrassingly so bought into the Direct Buy concept hoping to save a lot of $ when adding an addition to our house. It cost $5,000 to buy in. They promise huge discounts on everything. I bought a TV console for about $800 plus huge shipping and handling
fees. The picture, which is all you can pick from, which I knew up front, was beautiful. They say IN THEIR CONTRACT that you have to inspect your merchandise when it comes in on the shipping dock, or you are stuck with it. That assumes that if there is damage to it, that you don't have to take it, but that was not so. There was damage to it, which they agreed in the beginning, but when the manufacturer didn't agree and was not going to reimburse them, they changed their story and said it was fine and that I had to take the merchandise, NO MONEY BACK. It has been one year, and still no money back. They are rude on the phone. Someone from the Corporate Headquarters offered us a refund of the item only if we signed a waiver that we would never post anything bad about them anywhere or make any complaints to the BBB or Attorney General, both of which I have done and have not gotten anywhere. I believe they offer big discounts because they sell damaged goods. There was a huge room full of damaged merchandise. Someone there the same day received kitchen appliances that were damaged, but they took them anyway. Do not use direct buy!!!
