Mr. Datinder Sodhi is a scam artist and should be in jail. He represents himself as an attorney but is not. He convinced me to hire him (demanding cash of course) to recover "illegal rent" from my previous landlord. Further, he convinced me to pay my rent to him indicating that it would be held in trust with the Landlord Tenant Board pending their decision to lower my rent, however, a case was never filed with them and after 3 months I was luckily able to recover all of my rent from him.
There are several police complaints against him for defrauding innocent victims, but the authorities will only treat it as a civil matter.
He will not appear in court when you try to recover fees from him.
Anyone who has had similar dealings with him should contact me. The fees lost by us individually may not constitute a criminal matter, but combined, we can fight to have him in court and punished.
