*Warning*
Apple Unlimited is a direct marketing company based out of Charlotte, NC. Apple works with different clients as in FW1 Nascar product and Chipio an Auto Glass company. Bottom line is that you will be at a Gas station selling a product or providing a service. What people don't know or realize is that it is the worst job and opportunity out there. Speaking as a recent former employee of Apple / DLI, I want to warn any potential candidate out there, these two companies are not what they appear to be. Lets start from the beginning.
If you are looking for a job you will see a variety of titles on craigslist, career builder and even the newspaper. When you call or apply, you come in for an first round interview, most likely meet with Dave Apple who is the president of Apple Unlimited, he will feed you unlimited amount of bullsh* about how they are expanding and how you can grow and how there is no seniority, blah blah blah. Its all crap. Moving on to the second around interview where you follow someone to a gas station, hang out with them, they feed you more crap about the opportunity and then you do a final interview with Dave Apple on the phone. And he says now I have already hired 2 people why should I hire you, when in fact he will hire just about anyone.
When I began to work there, I then noticed that there were two companies in that building. One was Apple Unlimited and the other was DLI supposedly managed by Sydney Livingston. Can I take a minute to just laugh at that last sentence. The definition of management is "the act or manner of managing; handling, direction, or control." (dictionary.com) That is far from what Sydney Livingston does. All Sydney Livingston does is march around like she is some body barking orders at people like she runs the place, when in fact she has absolutely no control what so ever. She is 26 year old (in all honesty she looks like she is 12) 5 feet girl that tries to walk the walk and talk the talk, but in reality no one even respects her. During my time there, I heard many different things. One is that the person that shared that building with Dave another female was also was labeled as his girlfriend, I believe her name was Ellie, but then Dave forced her out to another location due to the fact that he had a new toy in his building and that toy aka "puppet" would be Sydney Livingston. So since the old flame was out, Sydney was given her opportunity, while a guy in the same building was an "assistant manager" still waiting on his opportunity. Sydney was given her opportunity because she knew how to sleep her way in to an opportunity. Well I don't think she really had an opportunity unless she slept with the boss, I believe she knew this because I was told she started sleeping with Dave 6 months before the other female toy was shoved out, I also heard when it was time for her to open her own location no one would follow her, plus to be a manager you have to do exactly what your employees do, but better.in Sydney Livingston's case she performed worse than any of her employees, which should tell anyone her ability to do anything on her own. I honestly think the whole picture is one pathetic situation.
Apple Unlimited and DLI are pitiful excuse of companies. I know people should make their own opinions and find out for themselves and that's exactly what I did and what I experienced. So I am warning you not to waste your time, especially if you are a sharp college graduate, you are so much better than selling something at a gas station, but that is up to you as an individual. I'm not an ex-employee telling you don't do it, I'm just an ex-employee telling my experience.
Hey if you are an attractive female you might be able to take Sydney's place, because the saying is "a zebra aka (Dave Apple) never changes his strips"
