On July 15th I had a scheduled pick up for my belonging which was supposed to be at 10am the movers did not show up to my address until 11pm twelve hours late with no phone calls and the customer service closed at 6pm. When they finally showed they barely had room in the truck to fit my belongings because they were given the wrong invoice of the items listed for pickup. The movers stated that had they been given the correct invoice that they would have had enough room on their truck. Because of this wrong invoice I could not take with me my washer/dryer which was worth over $500.00 plus a huge rocker. The movers did not leave my home until approximately 12:30am-12:45am and left a mess on my floor of rolls of packing taper, paper etc. When I went out to my car after they had left where their truck was parked were water bottles, a beer can and paper all over the parking lot which I also had to clean up. As they were leaving they had said that my bill was much larger then originally stated. At that point since I was 12 hours plus behind schedule I started my drive to Florida. When I got to Florida I called Delta argued with them re: the cost because the quote they gave me including the washer and dryer and rocker was less then the end amount. When I called Delta I spoke with Rich who did nothing but argue then started transferring me to other people. Then I spoke with Max he stated that they reevaluated and saw that the movers did not measure correctly however my price to get my personal belongings back is over double the quoted amount. Also I stated that until we came to some sort of agreement due to the fact we were out a washer / dryer and rocker because the movers were handed the wrong invoice I wanted our belongings to stay in the New Jersey location. A few days later we get a call from a driver stating he had our belongings on his truck and needed a time to drop them off and pick up the amount due. When I called Max back he stated he didnt even know that our stuff had been loaded onto another truck and now it was going be stored in Fort Lauderdale. Finally on September 25th our "belongings" were delivered not only were we short over 10 boxes mostly things that were worth money, our stuff had been gone through because the tape was cut and many of our items were broken. The broken items can NOT be replaced and had sentimental value. Also I was delivered someone elses items and when I called the driver to tell him about the broken items and the other peoples belongings he said "there was nothing he could do call on Monday to put in a complaint" I would like to put together a Class Action Suit against Delta Moving Systems so that this company can not keep screwing people. I have pictures of all damage done as well as all the paperwork.
