These folks called to solicit a subcription to the New Yorker promising excellent rates guaranteed for 3 years. They began billing my credit card but the magazine never came. When my old subscription expired without renewal I called the New Yorker who had no record of being paid or contacted by Magazine Readers Union. When I called the Magazine Readers Union, several times, I got a response that they would credit me for the magazine. The credit never came. On the last call they said the subscription had been processed and was renewed for a year. I told them to credit me for two years then. They said they would. No credit came and now they do not answer the phone. Is this a scam? If so they should be reported to the Better Business Bureau and should be investigated by authorities for fraud.
