Deceptive practice with the consumer and TV Guide caused by other publishing Co

There is a special notice in the April 13th - 19th 2009 issue of TV Guide located on page 15. It basically states that you may be contacted by unauthorized subscription agents to renew your subscription via phone or snail mail.

According to TV Guide, there are MANY "representatives" who are contacting people on behalf of TV Guide; people who are not affiliated with TV Guide in any way.
TV Guide is urging people not to give out any information i.E., personal, payment, or credit card info to companies listed below:

Magazine Sales Service
Choice Publications
Magazine Subscription Service
Community Readers Service
Magazine Union Readers Club
Crown Marketing
Trade Subscription Service
First Premier
Unique Reader Service
Magazine Data Center
Worldwide Preferred
Magazines Direct
Your Magazine Solutions
Magazines - Ebooks
Magazine Readers Service

They did not list the Rocky Mountain Reader's Service out of Denver, CO - but that is the latest to date.
TV Guide states that authentic mailed renewal notices will ONLY come from Boone, Iowa 50099, and ask that if you have been contacted by any of these companies to let TV Guide know immediately by writing to them @ Circulation Dept., TV Guide Magazine, 11 West 42nd St., New York, NY 10036
