Bauer Investigations is a RIPOFF. I had a bad feeling when Grant Bauer called and offered me a job... At first I thought that they were just small and unorganized. Now I'm pretty sure that they are just con artist. They wanted me to work a case 4 hours away. I called into the office to arrange a hotel for the case. Grant informed me that it is their company policy for investigators to drive to the hotel then call the office to have them make the reservation... WTF!
So the day before the case I called to request a formal employment offer letter (Since they never sent one.) They never sent me any Human resources or TAX forms! They sent the letter and I headed to the case. Once I arrived near the hotel I called them to have them make my reservation. I had to wait in the lobby for an hour while they made my reservation. Then to top it off, they only made my reservation for one day. (It was a three day case!) I informed them of this error and nothing was done. So the next day the hotel called while I was on surveillance and said that I needed to have them extend my reservation or I needed to leave the room. I had to call them again to get it fixed. After the case was over they attempted to send me out of state and they didn't want to provide a hotel for a case that was 317 miles AWAY!
It has been 8 1/2 weeks since I worked the case for them and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID!
