I am currently being harrassed by Monitronics for payment that they claim I owe them.
On 7 we received a marketing phone call from a competing alarm system. We were told that our contract with Monitronics was ended and they would become our next security system for a lower rate.
Monitronics refused to acknowledge the end of our contract and has continued to debit our account. Finally we cancelled our automatic debit to Monitronics after paying another 14 months!
We also sent a letter on 9 stating our demand to stop the phone calls and to close our account. Monitronics continues to refuse to close our account and to bill us!
We have spoken several times with the closing dept. At Monitronics. Each time we receive rude demands and adament refusals to cancel our contract. The harrassing phone calls continue.
This company needs to be taken to court for consumer harrassment and for ripping off the consumers. Americans should not tolerate bad business.
