Incident happend on May 27.
I have a complaint to file against one of your employees in the Tallahassee Florida. Location store is: 2415 N. Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303-4132. I spoke to one of your Manager named Jack last week regarding 9 balloons that said congrats for one of our employees that would be retiring on May 27. Jack told me to call before I came by the store to make sure that there was some available. I asked Jack is there anyway that I can call and have the balloons ready because we will be on a tight schedule for that day. He told me if the balloons are there, just tell the sales associate that Jack told you to call and have the balloons ready a what ever time that I needed them for. (By the way, Jack was very nice). I called on May 27 and spoke to a person name Nicolas. I told Nicolas that Jack advised me to contact the store first to see if you would have 9 balloons for me for our retirement party today. Nicolas said yes, we do have them. I asked him could he make sure that they are ready for us to pick up 4:30-4:45pm. Nicolas said that I don’t know if I can do that because some people don’t come back to pick them up. I told Nicolas that your manager Jack told me that I could have them blown up and ready waiting for me to pick up. Nicolas said well okay then, I will have them ready. I told Nicolas the person that was picking up the 9 Congrats balloons was Ms. Catherine Washington. I asked him before I hung up will you be at the store at the store at the time that the balloons will be picked up, he told me yes and he will make sure that they are ready.
Ms. Catherine Washington reached the store at 4:37pm to pick up the balloons. Ms. Catherine spoke to a young man, I think the associates name was Steve. Steve told her that there were no balloons waiting to be pick up. Catherine Washington then called me while I was at the restaurant decorating our section and told me that there were no balloons ready. So Catherine came back to the restaurant without any balloons because all she new at the time that we wanted 9 balloons. We returned to the store after 5pm. I demanded to speak with the manager. The manager came out and I told him what happen and I was a dissatisfied customer. I told him that the guest of our party is on the way and we wanted to have everything to be ready before she got to the party. I told the manger that I was going to file a complaint against this Nicolas person because he is a liar. I don’t understand how the Dollar Tree would hire someone like that who lies to their customers. I would like this to be my formal complaint against your Sales Associate Nicolas in the Tallahassee, Florida store.
