When I enterede the store, plastic wicker stackable outdoor chairs were fearured at $49.95. I noticed that on thwe other side of the display there were green chairs, which was my preference, and they were exactly the same. They were marked $10 higher. When I questioned this, the sales associate asked the manager if the price could be met of the other colrs feature, to which she flatly said no and she could not work magic.
I felt this was a rude response, and based on a similar incident with another manager, not only did he match the price, but offered a small discount as a courtesy.
I left a bit disturbed, with a much smaller purchase, when I was willing to spend over $200 for he chairs.
Is this company policy, or as I have experience, managers do appear to be able to use their discretion. I would still purchase the chairs, but not for the extra $10 per chair.
Please address this dilemma, and if the answer stays no, so be it. If not, I would still be interested.
All of my past experiences in your store have been pleasant, friendly, and this particular manager seemed out of line with what I expected. The original sales associate was very nice and accomodating.
