Centerpointe Industries and Steve Greene are untruthful and dishonest! I agreed to purchase 7 combo vending machines from this company back on May 11th when I gave a $500 deposit and was told when they received the additional $16,000 that my order would be placed and shipped within 10-14 business days. My $16,000 check cleared there bank on May 27th which meant that my machines should have shipped by June 16th which they never did.
In the meantime, prior to my purchasing of the machines I would get aprox 2-3 phone calls just about everyday from Steve Greene wondering if I had made up my mind to purchase there machines. Once I did agree and sent all of my money it was almost impossible to get Steve to answer my calls or return messages. At one point I had my wife call and get him on the phone right after I had called and was told by the receptionist that he was "away from his desk".
I have reviewed there contract and it does say that it can take up to 21 working days for shipment and up to 45 working days in the event of strikes, riots, insurrections, or circumstances beyond our control of Acts of God. 21 business days would have been on June 25th and none of the above conditions are the reason why my machines have not shipped.
Most recently I was told by Steve that my machines would be shipping on June 28th and he would be able to supply me with a tracking number from FedEx but none was ever provided. When I mentioned to him that if by the end of the day it was not provided then I would like a full refund as there contract does state he told me it takes one business day for them to receive a tracking number so I should have on on June 29th and that he was unable to refund me because he insists that I must wait the 45 business day period. I said I would wait until tomorrow for one business day to pass but again insisted on my money back if a trcking number was not provided.
I placed a call to Steve around 11:00am eastern time checking for my tracking number and he was still unable to provide one and again said that it takes one business day for them to receive a tracking number. After going in circles with him numerous times over all of this he said somebody eill be contacting me by the end of the day with an update in which nobody called. I did call Steve around 6:00Pm eastern time and was told he was on the phone, so I insisted I would hold for him. I held for 20 minutes without the receptionist even getting back on the line and asking if I still wanted to hold! How professional is that? After 20 minutes she did pickup the line and sounded a bit suprised that I was still holding and proceeded to call for Steve. After holding a few more minutes Steve did pick up the phone and said he was on the other line and would call me back when he was done with my account information and he repeated my cell phone number to me to make sure he had the right number to call. At that point I waited until 8:00pm eastern time and tried calling him seeing he never called me back and all I got was the voice mail. I did try calling his supposed cell phone number, which when I checked it out on White Pages it shows as a unpublshed landline, all I got was a generic message saying the mailbox was full.
Steve keeps telling me that Centerpointe Industries wants to have a lifelong relationship with there customers but if you ask me all they want is to take your money and forget about you. I would never in a million years to business with this company or refer anyone to do business with them.
