I've looked at Macyis for several years & was amazed that on 6/4/10 after making a purchase with a check which is the way I normally pay for my purchases, I gave the Macy's employee my driver's permit. She subsequently pressed a container with figures & explained to enter my SS#. I informed her I'd created acquisitions simply a week ago & didn't need to provide my SS#, she mentioned it had been new-store plan. I informed her there is no means I'd be providing Macyis my SS#, I paid money & visited customer support & again was informed it was now shop plan. Additionally, they truly are not requesting SS# if you are using their Macy's card or every other charge card. I e mailed Macy's & the reaction from Credit Customer Support, Colleen McGuinness was that Certegy could be managing all inspections prepared through Macy's & these details is needed by them, Ph# 800-770-3792. I named & a saving request to listing day check refused, I never got to keep in touch with anybody at Certegy. I attempted to contact Macy's customer support 866 593-2543 & nobody, merely a saving about my account or easily desired to create a cost on my Macy's consideration. (I actually donot possess a
Macy's consideration, or do I'd like one)
If you find this type of problem over identitytheft, why might Macy's believe their clients' must trust Centegy using their SS#. Macy's may be the only shop seeking these details for check agreement.
No further a Macy's client.
