I was contacted by this company via a site for freelance workers and they offered me work, writing articles. The turnaround time for this work was very short - 24 hours. They ask how many articles you can do and assign you articles - just a title - which you write and submit to them. This work is listed on a Work Tracker. I did the first articles - 400 words each on obscure titles such as 'area rug green' and submitted them.
The next day I received the next lot of work, which I did - another five articles, this time on jewelry products.in the meantime I received an email saying that my first work had been rejected by the client for obscure reasons like 'rambling', sentences do not match, keyword stuffing. I asked for clarification but did not receive a reply. But i was sent a 'lesson in article writing', which I had apparently 'missed'! This referred me to some e-zine articles etc that were, quite frankly grammatically and content wise, complete rubbish!
I read through my articles and could not establish exactly what the criticisms were, but tried to make some changes to minimize the conceived problems with the work. (I am a published writer, have experience in editing and proof-reading and am an English teacher, so I can recognize most problems, however, I could find nothing really wrong with the work I had submitted, but tried to improve what was essentially good work. I resubmitted that work and the new articles.
The next day I tried to access my Work Tracker and was denied access. I wrote to the people concerned to ask why. After two days, I received a reply that my articles had been rejected by the client and therefore I would not be paid for doing them.
How convenient! They simply tell you that your work has been rejected for some lame reason and then refuse to pay you - free articles that they can sell and profit from. Nice business! Unscrupulous ladies! Their website advertises Faster, Better and Cheaper Service! Of course! They steal the work of others, sell it cheaply and all the profit is theirs!!
