Surplus Floors Outlet ATTENTION— My Customer Complaints-Unsatisfactory Customer Service, Defective Merchandise, Delay in Completion of Repairs, Inferior Worksmanship & Inappropriate behavior and attitude exhibited by

An Edition of the Dallas Morning News "Briefing" brought to my neighborhood by Kroger is distributed wed. Thru Sat. Delivered free with lots of free advertising. I saw an ad from Surplus Floors Outlet SFO. Advertising great deals on flooring, granite, etc. The prices looked very reasonable, I call the company and on Oct. 2.2009. Flooring Specialist Ron C. Was at my home with several samples of tile selling at $2.99 per sq. Ft.installed. I explained to Ron C. That I didn't like any of the tile he had, I wanted a very contemporary look like "Cantoni Style" and I had pictures of what I was looking for. Ron C. Immediately pulled out a catalog from "Eleganza" a very exclusive tile company which manufactures exactly the look I wanted to achieve for my home. My invoice ref. # ordered was for Marfil 20x20, cream in color (in catalog the floor looked white-cloud color) which is exactly what I wanted. I ordered over 2640 Sq. Ft. The complete size of my home for $17,000 installed. $5000. Check was given to purchase a special order. $5000. Was arranged for credit to be paid in full in one year, with no interest and the rest of the balance was to be collected upon completion. Ron C. Agreed to bring a sample for me to look at in my home.

I waited the entire week for the sample, however Ron C. Kept telling me not to worry, the shipment had not arrived but, I would have the correct merchandize I ordered. Nevertheless a set date was arranged for construction to begin and I was told a contractor would meet with me.instead (4) hispanic men arrived, the leader (Jose) barely spoke english and my porcelin tile was in their truck. When I saw the tile I communicated in spanish to them stating, "this is not the porcelin tile I ordered." Immediately, they called Ron C. Who was at my door, telling me that is was a mistake, that the tile came in (3) colors, and they brought the wrong color. A few days later, these men came again, Ron C. Also came, I told him the tile still did not look like the tile I ordered. Immediately, Ron C. Told me the tile I ordered was discontinued as he pulled out a tile from under his arms which he called brand-new, just arrived to the show-room and I would be the first to have it in my home. I really believed him since he be-friended my son and friends. Ron C. Told us he was new to Dallas, arrived California, native from Venezuela. Ron C, was a handsome 35 year old gentleman, looking to make it big with this company and Dallas. I told him I had plenty of influencial customers and would be having lots of socials with my clients once my home was completed.

The surplus contractor never showed-up. Jose (installer and his brothers) began construction. These men were treated very well, I provided breakfast, lunch, and mid-afternoon ice-cream, cake and coffee everyday for (8) days. Ron C. Was at my home every-day, and went out with my son and his friends almost every-night. I really was glad that Ron C. Was begining to make friends with my sons friends. Everynight they would go to "Gloria's" to dance salsa. Once the floors were completed Ron C. And Jose, told me that a tile specialist would come to inspect the work, this never happened. When I showed Ron C. That the grout was falling apart at the door entry and showed him that the grout was uneven in lots of places, he told me to call Jose. I called Jose on his cell phone, he promised over-and-over he would come, after the holidays. He convienced me he would come and fit everything, but never came.

I continue with my big project, remodeling my new home, looking for granite for my kitchen, I went to "Rocky-wood" and had a specialist estimate the cost for granite for my kitchen. I was driving pass 635 and Midway, I saw a huge sign "Surplus" I went in, I met Mohammid E-Goul, also very charming young man from Chicago. I told him I was also from Chicago too. I explained I had just had 2700 sq. Ft. Of flooring placed in my home and needed to remodeled my staircase. During our conversation, I realized this was the same company that did the job in my home. I told Mohammid I was not pleased with the job done on my floors. Mohammid stated to me that he was the brother-in-law of the CEO, and they were not aware of my complaints. Mohammid stated to me, he wanted to keep me as a customer and he would come measure my kitchen for granite and staircase for wood, and look at the flooring done to my home and get it repaired. Again, I though I could trust him since he was the manager of the Farmers Branch Location and family.

Mohammid came to my home with his wife and son. I showed him the problems with my floors, he agreed they were uneven, he told me not to worry, he would have an inspector come and check and repair the problem. Mohammid measured my staircase, I ordered very elegant hardwood from Russia and he even let me have the sample at my home, while I waited for the constuction to take place. When the workers came, the wood was the wrong thickness, the workers measured the sample and agreed that the wood that they had was way thinner than the wood I had as a sample. I called Mohammid, he came over and tried to convience me that did not understand why the thickness varied so much. I paid half of the cost of $2200. And later cancelled my order.

In this same week I was to meet Randy, Granite Specialist who taking me and my son to a warehouse, so that I could select from (5) slates of granite "Emerald Pearl" an elegant indigo color stone with silver pieces blended, almost three-dimensional. I couldn't wait to see it. I was to select (3) out of the (5) slates according to Mohammid. When I arrived, there was only (1) Slate, with a very definite defective brown stain in the granite. I was mad and disappointed, I finally had enough and realized these men were ripping me off. I screamed, I told him, I did not want that piece of garbage in my home and not to call me ever, unless he found the best quality stone I was expecting. I knew he hated me from the very moment. Nevertheless, he did find this precious granite, only (2) slates which was his first mistake. I kept telling him it was not going to be enough, for all the kitchen counters, back-splash, bar top, breakfast-nook seat, and island stove top. He tried to convience me he had enough, but he was wrong. The person who was sent to measure the granite, did it wrong.

The kitchen was a catastrophic mess, not only did they demolished ALL of my walls, but, my custom kitchen bar, made of beautiful thick "French Glass" and "Neon lighting" was ruin. The workers pound the glass bar breaking all of the Neon lights, I called Mohammid, he did nothing, I called the customer support line, I called Randy, manager of granite department, but, he was inappropriate with his attitude and behavior along with the rest of the staff, they were all screaming at me, as though I was getting this work done for free. I was very insulted. Now, I was stuck, my kitchen a mess, during the holidays, No Thanksgiving, No Christmas, NO New Years Celebration for me and my family and what a Mess!

I spend eight hours looking for a neon light company, to have the 55'" neon wands made, and spend $280.00 out of pocket. Mohammid send Jimmy, the electrician, who accidently cracked the largest 55" neon light, leaving only two small wands that did not light all of the bar, the way it use too. The dry wall behind the French Glass, was destroyed and very obvious through the glass. The granite bar counter top, is too small, 5-7 inches in a corner is missing granite and doesn't match with the rest of the corners. My beautiful full kitchen window cannot be opened since granite covered the edges and granite is uneven in faucet area adjacent to window. The men never cleaned, polished nor sealed, so it has no shine. The granite is rough to the touch and the areas where glue was applied are very obvious and rough to the touch, I hate it! I paid $3500.00. Suplus is still charging me $2200. And I won't pay until they come back to my home and fix the awful mess they left behind.

When I didn't agree to pay, finally I met David Buck, Inspector. He told me everything would be fixed. He said he would send a tile expert to see my floors, and get more granite to fix the counter bar top, and finish cleansing, polishing and sealing granite I thought OKAY, finally. It will be done. He gave me his card with cell phone number and told me only to talk to him. Two weeks later, a gentleman Kevin, flooring specialist came to my home. David said he would be sending a specialist from "Eleganza" only to learn that Kevin was not from "Eleganza" and knowns nothing about tile floors. Even Kevin was very surprised David Buck send him to my home, since he is a carpet specialist. I never purchased any carpet for my floors-huh! Kevin, called Surplus from his truck looking for David. Kevin left me his card told me David would be calling me. I waited 24 hours, never got a call. I attempted to call David on his cell phone, leaving several messages in a two-week period. Never heard from him again. I then called Surplus and asked to speak to David, he was not avail. Still no call back.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General. I will continue to file complaint's about this company and their business practices. I have also found out today, that Surplus filed under CHAPTER 11, case #10-30305 on Jan. 11. Mohammid E-Goul, has is own business in Plano Texas, under another assumed name and Mr. Mohammid Asad, CEO, has opened another company, next-door to his Surplus Warehouse under another assumed name. These men from Surplus Floors Outlet, are in the practice of RIPPING-OFF, lots and lots of consumers. Don't Let them GET YOU! From a concern consumer giving you the heads up about these THUGS! They Need to Be Stopped!
