Upon arriving home around 6 PM on Wednesday, May 19th I was greeted by a "friendly" lady in my front drive way. She explained that she was there to complete our survery for our specific address. I was unloading my son and our belongings out of our car and into our home and explained to her that I didn't have a lot of time but wanted to help answer the questions as efficiently and effectively as possible. She was very sociable and friendly and I thought nothing of it. She had the mail bag across her chest, an id tag with photo and your everyday casual attire on. I didn't think anything suspicious and I truly let my guard down thinking she worked for the "government" so she must be legitamate. After completing the Census Bureau survey I thanked her for her time and walked into my home before getting a chance to lock my vehicle. I thought I had already unloaded all of my "valuables" but forgot my cell phone on the front seat under some persona items of mine. After getting my son settled I walked out front to my car and each of the doors were lightly closed. And the smart phone ($500) was gone. I couldn't believe it. And right away my mind started racing and I knew it had to have been Ms. Survey taker. She was the only one who saw me not lock the car. I was a perfect target since I was also distracted with my son. I asked her earlier on in the conversation how her surveys were going and how her responses have been. She said actually you're the first one who has been home. Perfect, so her robberies and buglaries have "just begun." I hope we catch her and her associates because this has got to spot.
