I have been getting different magazines on and off these last 2 years which I never ever ordered... Some of the titles are Self, Women's Health, Star. When I actually contact the magazine directly they tell me that the order was placed with a company called Publications Unlimited (who I have never heard of) and that the subscription was paid for by them? If I need to cancel the subscription I need to call them which I have tried but get this message about their office hours which makes no sense as I have called at different times of the day.
Sometimes I am able to get the magazines stopped by contacting the magazine company directly but that is not always possible and now I am afraid that I will get a bill in the mail asking for payment for something I never ordered!!!
This is crazy that the magazine companies don't have any idea what is going on that the subscriptions they supposedly are getting via Publications Unlimited are fraudulent and have never been authorized by the consumer? I guess at the end of the day they don't really care as they must be getting paid by someone or else why would they bother to send out dozens of magazines that cost them money in postage etc.
The company has a website but only for people who want to try and work for them as agents so there really is no way to get in touch with them besides the 1-800 that they never bother to answer!
